Chapter 5
Further Details from Recall Sessions with Beth
The first time I heard of this personality who was then unnamed was while getting a Life Reading from Dr. John Christopher Daniels, channeled by Dr. Franklin Loehr on March 27, 1980, in Atlanta, Ga.
The format of these Readings includes the supplying by the client of information concerning persons she/he feels may have been factors in previous lifetimes.
Many other parts of this Reading were “verified”, for my purposes at any rate, through the extensive work I had previously done in recalls, both receiving and conducting. Several of the recall experiences were unknown to Dr. Loehr, yet corroborating details were supplied through the Reading. I felt, therefore, that this information concerning the Moses and Jesus lifetimes was probably also accurate even though I had no confirming details yet.
The Reading and accompanying developments brought much activity into my life at the same time that our personal lives were changing greatly with the sale of our business and a move from Arkansas to Florida. Thus it was some time before I could find the opportunity to delve into the many parts of the Reading that Dr. John indicated he had left for me to find out about for myself.
Before detailing more of this information let me explain the way psychographers view discrepancies in information, whether the different versions come from one person or several. Just as the testimony of witnesses to an accident will seldom agree on all points so it is with views of a lifetime or an incident from it.
Many of us are not overly concerned with names, exact dates, etc., especially when dealing with non-verifiable lifetimes. Therefore we often get something that seems appropriate for our purposes and do not hunt further.
Also all material is being brought through a 20th century mind, either that of the reader or the recaller, and it is extremely difficult to eliminate all “coloring” or interpretation of that which is seen. Time-consuming repetition and/or cross-checking can resolve the differences often times if it is of sufficient importance and if the discrepancy is noted while sessions can still be conducted.
Since the work of this writer centers on the effects upon the client, we usually do not “waste” time on unessential differences.
During this time I had no one available on a regular basis to conduct recall sessions for me, but had learned to use a portion of my conscious mind to conduct while the rest of my consciousness experienced the recall. Through practice I had become fairly proficient with this method. i tried several different times to get into this lifetime (the Jesus time) but was unable to get anything that seemed valid. The vividness, in my mind, of pictures of Biblical times “developed” through the years of church attendance and study, made it difficult to know what was from past lives and what from this one.
What I had gotten through the Reading and my own perception told me I was no one mentioned in the Bible, yet the first real attempt I made to get a recall of the lifetime, I seemed to be watching Mary (of Mary and Martha, sisters to Lazarus) with Jesus. This seemed to indicate that I might be Martha but it did not “feel” right. The next time I saw Martha and Jesus. Still in the same home and a valid feeling to the scene but I didn’t “feel” like Mary either.
Finally I was able to determine that I was a third woman in the household and thus saw both the others with Jesus at various times since he was a frequent visitor in the home. After many sessions, some self-directed and others conducted by various people when they were available, I determined that the woman’s name was Beth (Elizabeth) and she was two years older than Mary, the mother of Jesus. Beth remained in close contact with Mary and her family until after Mary left the earth plane which is known in the Roman Catholic Church as the Assumption of Mary into Heaven.
Much of the information concerning this lifetime was secured as I did readings or led others in recalls when their questions or previous lifetimes led to the same time period. Also many group sessions would have a recall session into this lifetime as so many people were interested in all we could learn of the time and the people in it.
It was learned that Beth was one of the girls in the training class which was conducted for many years by the Essenes as they waited for the Mother of the Messiah to be designated from among their number. The book, THE REMNANT, by Mary LaCrois, [Avon Books, New York, 1981] tells a part of the story of these girls as it was given by Edgar Cayce, the well-known psychic reader whose works are still preserved and studied by the Association for Research and Enlightenment (ARE), Virginia Beach, VA.
As my personal recalls are compared to this book several of the discrepancies mentioned earlier are quite evident, especially the name of Beth (Elizabeth). A name even similar to this is not found among those given by Cayce as being in the group with Mary.
No attempt has been made to resolve these differences since they are unimportant from my standpoint. I am making no attempt to “prove” my position during that lifetime but rather to find the effect of this information upon this lifetime. It is also important to note that the “amateur” just may be the one to be correct and a client must never be allowed to discount their own material in favor of “the printed word” until extensive checking is done.
According to the information I had received, Beth first met Mary when she (Mary) joined the girls in the group on Mt. Carmel at the age of six. They remained close friends and in close contact for the remainder of Mary’s lifetime.
Many additional details concerning the lifetime have, of course, been secured, but as is evidenced by the verbatim recall in the previous chapter, the process was lengthy and most of those details are unimportant to our purposes here. Particularly compelling “scenes” not mentioned in Chapter 4 were the birth of Jesus, and traveling with Jesus and John as they started their training with Masters in other countries: Egypt, Persia, India, China, Nepal, etc. Thus, from my standpoint at least, the mystery of the “lost years of Jesus” was solved.
Beth continued as one of the followers of Jesus, later to become known as Christians, and during a period of persecution she went to Egypt where she died, probably in the area now covered by the waters held by the Aswan Dam. Her death came from taste-testing tainted food and was rather an agonizing one. From the information we were able to retrieve it seems that the soul could possibly have saved the life of the body through great effort and much more suffering but concluded that, since it was nearing the previously appointed span of life that had been expected for the personality, it was best to simply let go.
Two factors from the death scene may be of interest here. I have, throughout this lifetime, been absolutely unable to taste foods which MAY be spoiled. Even sour milk and other acceptable “spoiled” foods get thrown out if there is no-one else to verify their usability.
But of far more importance was “watching” the personality accept and hug to herself a feeling of guilt over the unwise act which led to her death. A similar feeling of guilt, often quite unwarranted, has been seen in a number of the other personalities from my soul with whom I have become acquainted through recalls and readings. This is evidently a weakness of this particular soul.
