On the Christ Spirit

DEAR FRIENDS: Even if you are not a Christian, you may be interested in our ideas of the Christ and of Jesus. Perhaps I should say,
especially if you are not Christian, as my own background makes it possible for me to realize and understand your thoughts on this subject. So maybe I can help you to understand also.

Let me explain first that I am not just one personality. (This gets a bit complicated perhaps, so contact Jeanette if you do not understand my explanation.) I am what is called a 'solity' which is a complex of a number of personalities. In my case, I am the combination of 55 different personalities that were once incarnate on the Earth.

This gives me a much wider picture of the teachings, practices, and experiences of life in different religions, cultures, etc. than you as an individual can get just from reading about the others. I have lived in (under?) all of the major religious groups in the world and most of the minor ones.

Still I consider myself a Christian but probably not in the sense that you would see that word. I am Christian because I realize that the Christ Spirit is that speck from God (actually a part
of God) which is within each human being that makes the human different from the lower animals, plants and other creation. We are, indeed, in the image of God!

When we speak of Jesus, the Christ, we are using the term in its perfected or fulfilled sense. Jesus, living a perfect life as the Son of God and the Son of Man, said that He was showing us the way and that we too should “be perfect as your Father in heaven, is perfect”.

This means, then, that while Jesus came in the Hebrew tradition and during this Earthly life worked and taught principally through those traditions, He also, as properly interpreted, fulfills the perfection sought in all other religions of the world, even though they may seem very different from the Judeo-Christian religions.

Some of the religions as they are presented in the world today have remained pure and true as the “founders” gave the teachings when they were on the Earth as incarnates. Thus you find many more differences between practitioners of a religion than you would find between the founders if it were possible for you to personally know and question them.

The Christ Spirit as shown by Jesus is universal. The Christian religion as it is practiced in the world of the incarnate is very localized. The higher one goes in the spirit world (and I can see considerably beyond my own level), the better the understanding of the universality of the Christ and of Jesus. Thus we do not find the conflicts between “religions” on the high spirit levels that you experience on the earth. As you come to understand and practice this, you are helping to bring the kingdom of God to the Earth.

Whatever your religious background or convictions may be, acceptance of the Christ spirit as exemplified by Jesus (as He truly was, not always as He is presented today) will not violate your faith. Let us all work to raise our understanding to this level and we will do much to eliminate war, hatred, etc from the world’s experience.

Ramsingh.
